PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photographic sensitive material that improves reproducibility of a character image, reduces unevenness in image scanning and gives a print of high image quality independently of kinds of digital aligners and to provide a color image forming method using the sensitive material. SOLUTION: In the silver halide color photographic sensitive material having on a support a photosensitive silver halide-containing yellow image forming layer, a photosensitive silver halide-containing magenta image forming layer and a photosensitive silver halide-containing cyan image forming layer, development is carried out after exposure for 10-10-10-3sec exposure time per pixel and at least one color image satisfies the conditions of the formulae 1.8≤(maximum point gamma)/(maximum density)≤5.0 and 0<((point gamma at density of 0.5)/(maximum density))/((maximum point gamma)/(maximum density))≤0.5.
