The burner pot for use with an electric cooker has a pot (5) forming a combustion chamber for a preset amount of fuel. A circular skirt holds the pot with respect to a cooker ring electrical resistance (3). A handle allows positioning of the pot on the ring. The pot has an opening (10) to allow the passage of heated air to cause auto-ignition of the fuel.
