<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately correct color drift even in the case an amount of color drift is large. <P>SOLUTION: A color drift correction unit 40 has a detecting part which detects a reference toner pattern transferred to a transfer body and a toner pattern used for the detection of color drift. The unit 40 also has an optical path scanning part 41 which corrects color drift by adjusting an image forming position on a photoreceptor drum 1 in relation to the transfer body. The unit 40 further has a CPU 71 which calculates an amount of color drift from the detection result of the detecting part and corrects the color drift by controlling the optical path scanning part 41 based upon the calculated amount of color drift. In the case the amount of color drift exceeds a prescribed value, the CPU corrects color drift again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
