PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a wiring material to be connected by caulking with a terminal in the proper condition free of inclination or dislocation.

SOLUTION: When a end separate part 5a of a flexible flat cable as the wiring material is to be caulked to the cable connection part 4 of the terminal on the piercing system, the end separate part 5a is held being pinched by a first 13 and a second holding pin 16 supported resiliently by springs 14 and 17 and subjected to a caulking process using a caulking die 10.
