PURPOSE: An apparatus for preventing high vacuum compression of a scroll compressor is provided to prevent compression gas in a discharge pressure area from leaking to a suction pressure area during normal operation while allowing compression gas in the discharge pressure area to flow back to the suction pressure area during abnormal operation. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus comprises a fixed scroll forming a plurality of compression chambers successively moving together with a rotary scroll, a middle pressure hole connected with one of the compression chambers in a middle pressure area, and a suction pressure hole connected with a suction pressure area; a valve housing(110) having a valve receiving space(111), fixed to the fixed scroll to receive both of the middle pressure hole and the suction pressure hole in the valve receiving space, and forming a discharge pressure hole(143) selectively connected with the middle pressure hole and the suction pressure hole; and a check valve(120) inserted to the valve receiving space to rotate, and rotated depending on pressure of fluid introduced into the valve receiving space to selectively connect the middle pressure hole, the suction pressure hole and the discharge pressure hole.
