SMART CARD SYSTEM INCLUDING BIOMATRIX INFORMATION RECOGNIZING AND AUTHENTICATING DEVICE AND AUTHENTICATING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A smart card system including a biomatrix information recognizing and authenticating device and an authenticating method thereof are provided to check an identity and replace a password in a financial transaction without using an additional biomatrix recognizing system or an additional password by directly storing a biomatrix recognizing device and a process capable of recognizing and authenticating the biomatrix recognizing device in a smart card. CONSTITUTION: A living body information input unit recognizes fingerprints(S21). The fingerprint is stored in a RAM(S22). A smart card system reads living body information digital data from a memory and checks whether the recognized living body information is identical with the stored living body information digital data(S23,S24). If the recognized living body information is identical with the stored living body information digital data, a smart card is operated through an operating unit(S26). The smart card system authenticates card information of the smart card(S27), and the next stage is executed.
