<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique generating an identification code which is hardly influenced by a gate voltage or environmental temperature. <P>SOLUTION: A p-type MOS transistor 11a as a 1st semiconductor element and a p-type MOS transistor 11b as a 2nd semiconductor element are provided, and the MOS transistors 11a and 11b constitute an element pair 11. The MOS transistors 11 and 11b, i.e., the element pair 11 has its binary logic determined, according to the result of comparison between electrical characteristics. The MOS transistors 11a and 11b are integrated, so that both are influenced by the environmental temperature to nearly the same extent.
