PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic polyester resin composition which has extremely good moldability, an appearance of moldings, and mechanical properties and, simultaneously, excellent toughness and hinge properties, and the moldings. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises (A) a polytrimethylene terephthalate and (B) a higher fatty acid ester and/or a higher saturated fatty acid and/or a higher unsaturated fatty acid and/or a higher fatty acid metal salt and/or a higher fatty acid amide, and has an intrinsic viscosity [η] of≥0.95.
