The solar reflector has a reflective panel which can be steered to ensure reflection is always directed onto a fixed point. The steering is controlled by two electric motors through a mechanism. The motors are controlled by photocells, which are mounted at the end of two support rods which point forward, although at an angle to the axis of reflection of the reflector.
