<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost nonaqueous secondary battery with a large battery capacity, sufficient cycle characteristics and excellent high-rate discharging characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous secondary battery composed of a positive electrode coated with a plied positive electrode material containing a positive electrode active material on either side of a positive electrode collector made of metal foil, a negative electrode containing a carbon material, and a lithium ion conductive nonaqueous electrolyte uses a lithium manganese complex compound as the positive electrode active material, and the mass of the lithium manganese complex compound coated on the positive electrode collector is not less than 40 mg/cm<SP>2</SP>and not more than 80 mg/cm<SP>2</SP>, and the carbon material contains a carbon material having a peak value at 2θ=43 to 44° and 46 to 47° in an X-ray diffraction measurement using CuKα rays. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
