<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that carries a transfer material while ensuring appropriate linear velocity, without pulling the transfer material between a fixing roller and an inverting roller. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device has a curved carrying path which leads a transfer material from the fixing part to the roller situated downstream from the fixing part. A transfer material detection sensor having an actuator which projects in the carrying path is disposed near the carrying path.
