<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device having a scanning drive circuit with a high degree of freedom for designing a waveform of a scanning signal while reducing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The display device is configured so that a shift register 100 used for the scanning drive circuit 20 is driven at a voltage lower than a voltage amplitude of a scanning signal; the shift register 100 is provided with a step-up circuit 101 correspondingly to each stage thereof; as a signal separate from a shift register output V1, a common scanning signal V5 shared by the other step-up circuits is inputted to this step-up circuit 101; and the scanning signal is selected from this common scanning signal V5 during the period while it is being selected by the shift register output V1, to output it to each gate wiring GL. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
