PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the distortion in the periphery of an image in a central projection method for conically emitting a light from a visual point to project an object of projection on a projecting surface in which the smaller the distance between the visual point and the projecting surface is, in general, the larger the distortion in the periphery of the projected image is when projecting the object of projection by the central projection method.
SOLUTION: The object of projection is re-projected to the projecting surface consisting of a flat surface (projecting plane) by eyeball conversion, and corrected for distortion after or at the time of projection to the projecting surface. The eyeball conversion means the re-projection of the object of projection, after or at the time of projection to the projecting plane, to the projecting plane through the projection to a projecting surface (projecting spherical surface) having the hemispherical surface on the far side from the visual point of two hemispherical surfaces obtained by halving the spherical surface having a center on the visual line in its central position orthogonally to the visual line.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
