REMOTE MONITORING APPARATUS, REMOTE MONITORING SYSTEM, AND VOICE TRANSMISSION METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transmit voice from a monitoring apparatus to a remote monitoring apparatus. SOLUTION: A monitoring person enters information desirably transmitted to the remote monitoring apparatus 10 to a monitoring apparatus 14 as character data. The monitoring apparatus 14 transmits the received character data to the remote monitoring apparatus 10 via a transmission line 12. An interface circuit 24 of the remote monitoring apparatus 10 captures the character data sent through the transmission line 12 and a signal processing circuit 22 decides whether or not the character data are data to be converted into voice. When the character data are to be converted into voice, the signal processing circuit 22 transfers the character data to a voice converter 26. The voice converter 26 converts the entered character data into voice and applies the voice to a loudspeaker 18 via an amplifier 28. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
