<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a part of an excessive inventory as a substitute for a short- supply part. <P>SOLUTION: An order receiving device 10 of an order product issues an estimate of the product by investigating an inventory state of the part by receiving an estimation request for the product from an order terminal 1 connected on-line, and has a part developing part 3 for retrieving a use part and a substitute part used for the product by referring to product constituting part data 6 according to the estimation request, an inventory control part 4 for investigating the inventory state and a part amount by retrieving inventory data 7 according to a retrieving procedure predetermined on the use part and the substitute part, and an estimate answering means 2 for transmitting the estimate including the substitute part to the order terminal 1 when at least one of the use part runs out of the inventory or is short-supply in the inventory or when the substitute part is the excessive inventory according to the inventory state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
