PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a link method, a system and a program storage medium which satisfy the continuity among data being written into a sector before and after a buffer underrun when the data are written after the buffer underrun is released. SOLUTION: The width of expanded ATIP synchronization signals, which indicate the time interval between the ATIP synchronization signals and subcode synchronization signals is stored in a prescribed location when buffer underrun is generated. After the buffer underrun is released, the above is reflected when a writing is to be conducted again. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
