PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that most of conventional micro array carrier substrates have been made of glass or silicon to be easily damaged, require care for handling, be weak to alkali solutions, and restrict hybridization reaction. SOLUTION: In the case that the carrier for a microarray is made of inorganic matter, by forming an oxygen containing region, in which oxygen is distributed from the surface of the carrier toward its interior by the processing action of passage through an electric discharge field, in an organic membrane and providing the organic membrane on the carrier, nucleic acids are efficiently fixed in the carrier for the microarray. In the case that the carrier is made of organic matter, by forming an oxygen containing region, in which oxygen is distributed from the surface of the carrier toward its interior by the processing action of the passage of the carrier through an electric discharge field, in an organic membrane and providing the organic membrane, nucleic acids are efficiently fixed in the carrier for the microarray.
