PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal intermediate-pressure multistage rotary compressor with a constitution which smoothly operates vanes of first and second rotary compression elements and does not need back pressure application. SOLUTION: This rotary compressor has first and second cylinders. It has first and second vanes 50 and 52 for dividing the first and second cylinders 38 and 40 into a low-pressure chamber and a high-pressure chamber respectively and an interlocking device 171 for interlocking the first and second vanes 50 and 52 each other. The interlocking device 171 has a linked mechanism to apply force of a first roller 46 pushing the first vane 50 in the direction away from a rotary shaft to the second vane 52, apply force of a second roller 48 pushing the second vane 52 in the direction away from the rotary shaft to the first vane 50, and push the first vane 50 in the direction to the first roller 46.
