PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition exhibiting better infarction volume contraction effect compared to the case of administering each of the components thereof singly, thus useful for treating cerebral infarction. SOLUTION: This pharmaceutical composition for treating cerebral infarction or ameliorating neuropathy associated therewith comprises a combination of a tissue plasminogen activator with 2,3-dioxo-7-(1H-imidazol-1-yl)-6-nitro-1,2,3,4- tetrahydro-1-quinoxalinyl)acetic acid, a salt thereof or hydrate thereof, preferably monohydrate thereof.
