PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel causing no reduction in light efficiency, and capable of improving color purity by selectively filtering only the visible light of a desired hue without using a color filter. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel is constituted by including a lattice layer of a plurality of lattice structures for diffracting the light generated from the inside of the plasma display panel at a prescribed angle, and a filter composed of a black matrix layer for passing or cutting off the light diffracted by the lattice layer.
