摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent observation microorganism which can prevent illumination light from advancing into an observation optical path. SOLUTION: The fluorescent observation microorganism has changeover means 135a, 135b and 135c for arranging an excitation filter 14, a dichroic mirror 13 and an absorption filter 12 into the optical path, cutoff means 18 and control means 26 for controlling the operation of the cutoff means 18. The control means instructs the cutoff of luminous fluxes to the cutoff means 18 before the changeover operation of the changeover means 135a, 135b and 135c and instructs the cutoff means 18 to allow the passage of the luminous fluxes when the wavelengthλ1 of the excitation filter 14, the wavelengthλ2 of the dichroic mirror 13 and the wavelengthλ3 of the absorption filter 12 detected by detecting means 134a, 134b and 134c satisfy the predetermined relationsλ<SB>1</SB><λ<SB>2</SB>andλ<SB>2</SB><λ<SB>3</SB>.
