CHAIN TENSIONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate an assembling of a chain tensioner at a low cost. SOLUTION: A plunger 4 and a spring 6 for pressing the plunger 4 to an outside direction are assembled into a cylinder chamber 2 formed in a housing 1. An oil feed passage 8 communicated with a pressure chamber 7 formed at a back part of the plunger 4 is provided on the housing 1. An outer diameter of the housing 1 is made to approximately the same diameter over a whole axial length. An assembling as the assembled state is facilitated by inserting the housing 1 into a mounting hole 20 formed on an object B mounted with the tensioner. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
