METHOD FOR CORRECTING IMPROPER CONVERSION CHARACTERISTIC OF IMAGE SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for correcting image signal from an image sensor arranged on a plane.

SOLUTION: For pixels (i, j) on the image sensor 11, an image corrected with GW=Fi(Lij(ϕ)) between a radiation dose input in a detector and a resulting gray value GW is calculated. (where Lijshows the approximate linear behavior of a sensor position 10 and Fishows the non-linear behavior of a process unit 12.). A linear model function is used for the value Lij-1working in reverse direction using a parameter calculated with a calibration measurement with different radiation dose ϕkand a non-linear model function is used for Fi-1working in reverse direction.
