<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle-mounted receiver or a vehicle-mounted system which prevents a battery from dissipating its power and increase the opportunity to update a software. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle-mounted receiver 100 downloads a software, utilizing broadcast waves and uses a controller 5 for determining the receiving condition when parking a vehicle and controlling to set the download operation in a disabled state, if the determined receiving condition is not good.
