<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer capable of easily and efficiently printing a target document by inserting a specific sheet of paper to a desired position of the target document. <P>SOLUTION: In printing out, in a page unit, print data of a document composed of a plurality of pages on corresponding paper fed from a paper feeding means stored with an optional type of paper, a selecting means 132 of the printer 130 is controlled by a printing controlling means 134 to select a corresponding paper feeding means out of a plurality of paper feeding means including a paper feeding means for a special paper (tab paper, etc.), on the basis of whether or not prescribed control information is included in the print data.
