PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chopped glass strand effective for improving the wet durability and thermal durability of a molded FRTP and provide a glass fiber- reinforced thermoplastic resin produced by using the chopped glass strand as a reinforcing material of a thermoplastic resin. SOLUTION: The glass fiber to be used as the chopped strand is surface- treated with a sizing agent containing a copolymer of an unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or an unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride and an unsaturated monomer and an epoxy resin as essential components.
