PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the picture quality of an image which is chromatically displayed on a display panel by dither matrix shifting. SOLUTION: The image processor is provided with an LCD panel 104 which has pixels arrayed, each pixel being constituted by putting rectangular subpixels of a plurality of colors together in one; and a dither processing means 103 performs binary or multi-valued pseudo-halftone processing while making a matrix correspond to each of planes representing the respective images of the plurality of colors of input image data obtained by an input means 101 and an image based upon image data after the processing is displayed on the LCD panel 104. When the dither processing means 103 makes matrixes correspond to the planes, a matrix moving means 102 makes a matrix, having shifted in a threshold along the length of subpixels, correspond to a plane of at least one color among the plurality of colors.
