<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector capable of stably holding a circuit board and assuring a good soldering workmanship. <P>SOLUTION: The electric connector is designed to admit mounting of a chip module which is connected electrically with the circuit board, and comprises a base in flat plate form, a cover, a drive device, and a holding piece. The base has a thick head part and a thin terminal region, and a plurality of solder balls are set on the terminal region and soldered fast to the circuit board, so that mounting and electric connection of this connector on/with the circuit board are established. The holding piece is installed rigidly on the circuit board, and the connector can be mounted stably on the circuit board by engaging it with the cover or base. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
