PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength locker module and a method of stabilizing the light emitting wavelength of laser light source using the module to cover a plurality of wavelength-multiplexed signal light rays so as to make the module suitable for WDM communication. SOLUTION: Measuring light constituting part of the signal light ray from a DFB laser light source 10 is emitted from the end face of an optical fiber 16 and transformed into parallel light rays through a collimator lens 20. After the parallel light rays are divided into two parts through a roof prism 22, one part of the divided parallel light rays is made incident to a photodiode PD1 through an etalon 24 and outputs a current signal I<SB>1</SB>. At the same time, the other part is made incident directly to another photodiode PD2 and outputs another current signal I<SB>2</SB>. The current signals I<SB>1</SB>and I<SB>2</SB>are inputted to a control circuit 26. The circuit 26 detects the current signal I<SB>1</SB>corresponding to the quantity of light transmitted through the etalon 24 and the current signal I<SB>2</SB>-I<SB>1</SB>corresponding to a light quantity equivalent to the quantity of reflected light, and calculates the fluctuation of the light emitting wavelength of the light source 10 based on the current signals I<SB>1</SB>and I<SB>2</SB>-I<SB>1</SB>.
