PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell gap adjusting device capable of accurately and quickly adjusting a cell gap of one or more liquid crystal (LC) cells, and to provide a pressure sealing device and a method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The cell gap adjusting device for adjusting a cell gap in an LC cell group 1 consisting of a plurality of LC cells 1a formed by injecting LC in each of cells is provided with a supporting means 3 having a plurality of frame-like closing seals 32 for forming respective closed spaces between both the outer surfaces of the LC cell group 1 and the surfaces of supporting tools (301a, 301b, 3021 to 302e) opposed to the LC cell group 1 and a pressurizing means for simultaneously pressurizing both the outer surfaces of the LC cell group 1 by the pressure of fluid introduced into the closed spaces. The surrounding area of the supporting means 3 which is surrounded by the seals 32 is overlapped to the LC cells 1a constituting the LC cell group 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
