<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metadata receiving program allowing a receiver to selectively perform the receiving processing of necessary data of metadata and a computer-readable storage medium with the metadata receiving program stored therein. <P>SOLUTION: The information for each received metadata stream contains at least one of the information related to the data quantity of each corresponding metadata stream and the information related to the description content of each corresponding metadata stream.
