<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both an LED lamp which is capable of surely preventing blow-holes from occurring in a soldered joint when the LED lamp is mounted on a board, and its manufacturing method so as to enable the LED lamp mounted on the board to be improved in reliability and reduced in fraction defective. <P>SOLUTION: An LED lamp 1 is equipped with a light emitting main body 11 formed of a light emitting element mounted on a head of a lead frame 16 and sealed up with sealing resin together with the head of the lead frame 16 and a leg 161 of the lead frame 16 which is led out from a bottom 12 of the light emitting body 11. A projection 15 protruding opposite to the light emitting body 11 beyond a point at which the leg 161 of the lead frame 16 is led out is provided at a suitable spot on a periphery 13 of the bottom 12 of the light emitting body 11, and clearance is ensured between the bottom 12 of the light emitting main body 11 and a board 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
