<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain ink for ink-jet recording, which simultaneously solves both the problem of prevention of nozzle clogging and the problem of quick drying on a medium to be recorded after recording that are mutually opposed. <P>SOLUTION: In this ink for ink-jet recording in which pigment is dispersed in a solvent, a mixed solvent of water, glycerol and isopropyl alcohol is used as the solvent. When especially the content of glycerol is X wt.% and the content of isopropyl alcohol is Y wt.%, formula (1) to formula (3) 1≤X≤40 (1), 1≤Y≤40 (2) and 5≤X+Y≤50 (3) are simultaneously satisfied. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
