PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rust preventive coating solution in which a rust preventive is sufficiently vaporized when rust preventive effect is required to be exhibited, in particular, when humidity is high, and rust preventive effect is kept for a long time, and to provide a packing material obtained by using the same. SOLUTION: The rust preventive coating solution contains a rust preventive, a water expansive or water soluble fixer, and a defoaming agent. The content of the rust preventive is 25 to 70 wt.% to the whole, and the content of the fixer is 1 to 10 wt.% to the whole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
