PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a still picture managing method and a still picture managing apparatus capable of easily managing still pictures. SOLUTION: The still picture managing method of this invention comprises: a step for displaying in parallel reduced images of still pictures stored in one directory; a step for deleting one still picture from the one directory; and a step for displaying in parallel reduced images of still pictures existing in the one directory after deleting the one still picture from the one directory.
