PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording tape cartridge for decreasing a step difference within a winding face when a recording tape is wound on a reel hub of a driver. SOLUTION: A leader tape 20 connected to the tip of a magnetic tape wound on a single reel housed in a case is fixed to the reel hub 32 by inserting a lock pin 40 integrated with the reel hub 32 to a locking hole 28 provided at its end. The length of the leader tape 20 corresponds to the circumferential length of the reel hub 32. When the reel hub 32 is driven, the leader tape 20 comes in close contact with the outer face of the reel hub 32 while being curved and deformed in the thickness direction, and both ends are abutted to configure the winding face for winding the magnetic tape. Thus, the leader tape 20 whose thickness is formed with high level of accuracy can excellently be positioned and the step difference of the winding face can be absorbed within the thickness of the leader tape 20.
