PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to allow for ease of alignment of upper and lower substrates, while achieving improved contrast of screen. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises an address electrode(60X); a first bus electrode(62Y) arranged in the direction crossing the address electrode; a first barrier rib(76) formed in the area corresponding to the first bus electrode; a second barrier rib(78) formed between the first barrier ribs in such a manner that the second barrier rib is parallel to the address electrode; a transparent electrode formed between the second barrier ribs in such a manner that the transparent electrode is parallel to the address electrode; and a second bus electrode(62Z) formed beneath the first bus electrode in such a manner that the second bus electrode is extended to the area corresponding to the second barrier rib.
