The present invention relates to an improved forked rod, of telescopic and hydropneumatic type, especially developed for mountain bikes and trailbikes, provided with an extension locking/unlocking device; the improvement being represented by the addition of a secondary shorter spring to the traditional extension spring, which provides the fork of the invention with some elasticity when the user locks the extension of the primary spring, by actuating the locking/unlocking device.
