Disclosed is a storage installation comprising drawers which are stacked on top of each other and are arranged in columns. The lowest drawer rests on the floor. One side of the other drawer(s) also rests on the floor by means of legs, whereas the other side rests on the top structure of the drawer that is located immediately below said drawer by means of guiding means. The lowest drawer (T1A) is motorized while the other drawers are provided with holding means (40) allowing them to be moved along with said lowest drawer, the selected drawer being moved along with the other drawers that are stacked between said selected drawer and the lowest drawer. The inventive storage installation makes it possible to access the different drawers from above and has the advantage of using very little floor space while offering a large storage volume. |
