Process for the final drying of agricultural plant granular products, especially maize or grain, comprises drying heated material in a main drying process to give a 18-20% moisture content, interrupting the active drying process and stopping the external heat supply, releasing the heat contained in the grains and collected during the drying process in a phase of reduced drying in the form of residual heat and residual moisture from the inside of the grain through the grain wall with external heating, removing the residual heat and residual moisture using fresh air, and feeding the grain liberated from residual heat and residual moisture for further evaluation. An Independent claim is also included for a process for final drying of agricultural plant granular products, especially maize or grain.
