Pressure sensor for use in a radio-controlled method for determining the opening state of a window. The sensor can be used to determine if the window is in an open, shut or tilted open position. A central unit cyclically interrogates windows and or doors to determine their state. Data transmission is wireless. The inventive pressure sensor comprises a spring and metal rod linked to an ADC and microprocessor, which determines a window state ready for interrogation by the central station.
