The stent for surgery has a tubular support frame (2) formed of successive ring segments (3,3') which, in the opened position, form undulating endless relatively sliding angled strips (5,6). Adjacent ring segments are connected by coupling strips (7). The angled strips extend circularly in the support condition of the stent, where the length of the support frame in the support condition matches that in the open position.
