1279034 Sliding clasp fastenings TEXTRON Inc 5 Aug 1970 [22 Aug 1969] 37853/70 Heading E2S A slide fastener is made by inserting a stringer tape T into the space between the upper and lower legs 12, 14 of a string of plastics elements (10), Fig. 1 (not shown), and fastening the tape T by a stitching thread 26 (Fig. 2), pulling the tape T to the right (Fig. 3) causing the thread 26 to abut a notch 13, folding the tape T over the upper legs 12 and inserting a second continuous stitching thread 32 (Fig. 4) and then folding the tape, (Fig. 5). The completed stringer is then attached to a slider (S), Fig. 6 (not shown). |
