The invention relates to a remote monitoring system for a fleet of agricultural machines (10). The inventive system is characterised in that it comprises monitoring means for monitoring agricultural machines belonging to a fleet of agricultural machines (10), said monitoring means being able to detect operating errors; transmission means which are connected to the monitoring means and can be operated in such a way that they automatically send detected error information to a server (64); and manager information means which can be operated in such a way that they automatically transmit error information relating to a machine (10) of the fleet, from the server (64) to a fleet manager responsible for the fleet in terms of ownership, maintenance or service.
