Reaction chambers are associated with the bases of a reciprocating piston (14) connected to armature coil (25) arranged in a working chamber (12). Controllers are provided to control piston movement, to open the reaction chambers towards gas or vapor supply sources (21a,21b), to receive the pressurized gas or vapor and towards the working chamber, to discharge the expanded gas or vapor.
