The closure for a container of liquid soap (4) comprises a rod (3) which passes through the whole length of the container and has a narrow section near the top. When the container is inverted and squeezed, the narrow section enters the outlet (2) and allows liquid to flow out and when the container returns to its original shape its wider top reseals the outlet.
