The invention relates to device for producing endless shaped bodies from a molding compound, such as a spinning solution containing water, cellulose an d tertiary amine oxide. The device (1) comprises a nozzle plate (3) with extrusion openings (4), through which the molding compound is extruded to fo rm essentially thread-shaped endless shaped bodies (5). The endless shaped bodi es (5) are guided through an air gap (6) and, inside a precipitation bath (9), are guided by a redirecting element (10) to a bundling device (12) where the y are combined to form a fiber bundle. A blowing device (14) is provided insid e the air gap and directs a cooling gas steam toward the endless shaped bodies (5) in a direction perpendicular to the lead-through direction (7). In order to improve the spinning certainty and the mechanical properties of the endle ss shaped bodies, the invention provides that a first shielding area (20) is placed directly in front of the extrusion openings (4) that shields the extrusion openings from the action of the cooling gas stream.
