<p>The present invention provides an improved cyanide exchange process for preparation of 1-[3-(dimethylamino)propyl] -1-(4-fluorophenyl)-1,3-dihydro-5-isobenzofuran carbonitrile, followed by the treatment of crude 1-[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]- 1-(4-fluorophenyl)-1,3-dihydro-5-isobenzofuran carbonitrile with a cyanide reversal agent and its purification from a solvent system.</p> |
