The invention relates to a method for carrying out the product-accompanying or manufacturing-accompanying documentation and/or characterization of transportable objects or articles as well as the subsequent identification thereof while using a data carrier, e.g. a chip card, a transporter or a smart label, which can be written and read in a contactless manner. In addition to a product-characterizing storage of data in a programmable manner after quitting a designated production or manufacturing step or upon reaching the final manufacturing step, data concerning environment conditions that, in particular, pertain to the manufacturing or handling step, are prepared and stored while being protected from manipulation. The inventive objects or articles are textile woven fabrics, knitted fabrics or non-woven fabrics, particularly technical textiles. |
