Phase detector has inputs for clock and control signals, the latter corresponding to a phase control signal in normal operating conditions, which is dependent on the phase difference of supplied signals. The detector is designed so that after output of a phase control pulse, it is switched into a blocked state in which the output of phase control pulses is blocked. When a clock pulse is received, it is switched back into normal operating state.
